Handmade Lokta Printer Paper

Handmade Paper Following a 1,000-Year-Old Tradition

Handmade in Nepal for over a thousand years, lokta paper makes a great alternative to modern papers. Lokta paper is tree-free and is made from Lokta bushes that grow in the high Himalayas.

When cut, Lokta bushes quickly regrow, providing a renewable source for the paper.

Strips of the inner bark are made and cooked in vats, creating a fibrous pulp which is then spread by hand over boxed screens and set to dry in the Himalayan sunshine.

As the fibers dry, they fuse together, forming the beautifully textured lokta paper.

Lokta printer paper is a great way to give that project that special handmade touch.

Lokta printer paper comes in many color options. Check them out with the link below.
